The Consultrans-Duplo joint venture has been awarded the Consultancy and Technical Assistance project for the drafting of the works corresponding to the Simulation of standard gears, functional analysis and capacity and operation study on the General Interest Railway Network (RFIG) corresponding to Lot 2, which comprises the western part of the country.
This study will evaluate the capacity of the RFIG to accommodate the traffic that passenger and freight operators need to meet their demand forecasts. Knowing this capacity will make it possible to assess whether it is sufficient to absorb future traffic or whether, on the contrary, it is necessary to change the operating conditions (either by modifying times or by changing rolling stock, etc.) so that this traffic can be dealt with in accordance with a set of quality standards defined beforehand.
