With a total length of 188 km within the Valencia-Tarragona line, this project, key in the Corredor Mediterráneo development, seeks continuing the line through the Trans-European Transport Network through the implementation of standard gauge or international gauge.
Additionally, adaptations of the stations through which the line runs, and adaptations of the facilities will be made, to ensure the correct operation of the interoperable standard train length (750 m).
The project will be developed in two phases. The first one encompasses the previous works to leave prepared the new platforms of the stations and the drainage works’ extensions, while the second and main one will focus on the change of gauge and the catenary adequacy.
