This project aims to progressively minimize the risks derived from the human factor in the processes of railway traffic, being framed within the Improvement Plan of Safety Equipment in the network, consisting of the elimination of telephone blockages and the provision of a minimum equipment in terms of train protection systems.

The execution of the works covers the two conventional gauge single-track lines equipped with lateral signaling and without conventional ASFA, with a total length of 219 km, in which it will be necessary to replace the current mechanical interlocks with new electronic interlockings, the installation of the new LED signals, as well as axle counters for train detection. Interlocks’ new functionalities will be integrated into the CTC of Seville.

With this project Consultrans begins a new journey within the Technical Assistance in the Railway Facilities, that for sure will be a success thanks to the professionalism and dedication of our staff.
